Verification Standards

Verified means TCG has checked the mandatory evidence and authoritative membership conditions configured for the business at that time. It is not a guarantee of quality, safety, future conduct or customer satisfaction.

Mandatory evidence is public-liability insurance and proportionate identity/business verification. Employers’ liability is conditional where legally applicable. RAMS and COSHH/safety documentation are conditional on the work undertaken. DBS, training, certifications and accreditations are optional unless a separate, clearly stated requirement applies. Members cannot approve their own evidence.

Evidence states are awaiting review, approved, rejected, replacement required or expired. Missing or expired mandatory evidence affects Verified eligibility. Public pages may display high-level checked indicators but never documents, policy numbers, DBS certificate information, criminal-record information or operator notes. DBS wording must never imply guaranteed safety.

TCG may correct or withdraw a status when evidence expires, facts change or an error is identified. The live verification URL is authoritative over copied artwork.
